Yes, we can adjust both wide angle and telephoto lenses.

Make sure that you also send us the lens that you most often use with the teleconverter.

Yes, we can adjust both prime and zoom lenses. We will test both ends of the focal lenghts on your zoom lens. In addition we will check a particular focal lenght that you typically use.

  5. What do you do to the camera or lens?

There are no physical changes made to your camera or lens. When we calibrate your lens to your camera body, we are calculating an offsets adjustment. The adjustment is entered into the cameras software. This way you can continue to use your lenses with other camera bodies.

  6. What if my lens cannot be adjusted using the micro focus adjustment?

In the unlikely event your lens or lenses cannot be calibrated, we will send you image files to document your problem. Include these the files with the lens when send it to manufacturer. This will help them diagnose the problem and fix your lens so that it is within factory tolerances.

  7. If my lens cannot be adjusted using the micro focus adjustment do I still have to pay for the adjustment?

Yes, you still have to pay for the fee, because we will have spent the time doing the testing and determining that your lens not within factory specs. But we will send you a $20 discount coupon for our services. You can use it for another lens, or alternatively, use it on this lens once the manufacturer has repaired it and it’s back within factory specifications.

  8. Can you make the adjustment for third party lenses like Tamron and Sigma?

Yes we car, as long as the lenses are autofocus and work with the camera.

  9. What is your turn around time?

Typically, we can have your adjustments complete within 3 to 5 business days from the time we receive your equipment, depending upon current workload. We do offer a rush service for a 50% surcharge.

  10. I sent my camera body to the manufacturer for a cleaning and adjustment and they reset my micro-focus adjustments to “0”, what do I do?

When we returned your camera, we included a list of the adjustments for each lens. All you have to do is access the autofocus micro-adjustment through the camera’s menu and input the values from our list. Make sure you attach the proper lens before you input your corrections.

  11. Do your adjustments affect any other functions of the camera or lens’ operation other than the focus?

No, our adjustments only affect the autofocus portion of the camera. As a matter of fact, you can turn our adjustments off, if you like.
